Pro Medicare For You is the personalized project that makes use of the Adacta Versa Positioning System, as a rehabilitation and therapeutic tool.

The Personalized Modular Positioning System is the result of the combination of the frame base -Adacta and -Versa systems.

The main feature of the entire system is the extreme versatility and adaptability to each user needs, evaluating all the aspects linked to the base frame, positioning systemand a wide range of accessories to ensure a high level of the user stability and comfort.

Its careful design involves many aspects, factors and experts, and this is the reason why we established “The Protocol”, a set of guidelines applicable in the choice of the positioning system, a vademecum made of different stages that start from the user needs analysis to get to the post-sale monitoring, following a precise method.

Monitoring the waythe user reacts to the use of the positioning system is fundamentaland lead to a series of adjustments in relation to the user evolution.

The Protocol in 5 steps:

1) KNOWLEDGE

-Knowledge of the person (the pathology, his history, his lifestyle, his needs);
-Knowledge of family/caregivers (their needs, their lifestyle, their barriers/fears);
-Knowledge of the user rehabilitation project.

2) EVALUATION

-Careful analysis of the user seating system/device is use, in order to evaluateadvantages/disadvantages to understand the interaction space/user;
-Articular evaluation of the user (sight and touch) in supine/prone/seated position and consequential analysis of the emotional reactions to the mobility of body segments;
-Detection of the user body measurements in supine and sitting positions;
- Positioning trials and simulation of the postural system.

3) CHOICE

-Choice of the proper positioning system, materials, covering and accessories;
-Choice of the positioningframe type, considering the movement in space and its adaptability to daily needs.

4) DELIVERY

-Adaptation of the system to the user, followed by its delivery, together with the instruction of use manual containing all the information about adjustments, warranty and maintenance.

5) FOLLOW-UP

- Follow-up after delivery, (15 days after the delivery, then monthly or bimonthly): monitoring of use, detection or solution of problems and evaluation of benefits for the user and relatives/caregivers consequently the use of the system; re-assessment of the system and its accessories to the new body situation.

Pro Medicare Protocol and Adacta Versa positioning system have been object of the research conducted in collaboration with “CENTRO DI RIABILITAZIONE VILLA BERETTA, OSPEDALE VALDUCE – Costa Masnaga (LC) ITALY. The results of the research have been argument of the scientific report at the European Seating Symposium in Dublin (Ireland) in 2009 and have been published in the event acts.
